✅ Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship

The applicant must be a Rwandan academic staff at Rwanda Polytechnic.
Able to stay in Korea during the entire study period.
Have a proper mental and physical health condition for study abroad.
Must continue to work as an academic staff at Rwanda Polytechnic after completing studies (as per RP guidelines for study leave).
Meet the entry requirements for the chosen program.
Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree with second class upper division (Distinction) in the below fields.

🎓 Required Bachelor's Backgrounds

Bachelor in: Mechatronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical engineering, and any other Bachelor’s Degree in the same field of the programs, or closely related majors

And demonstrate technical competences in CAD/CAM, Robotic system design, Embedded systems programming.

✅ What the Scholarship Provides

Living allowance during the study period (Maximum one year).
Tuition fees.
Round trip economy Air-Ticket.
Visa fees.
Health insurance.
Student accommodation on campus.

✅ What the Scholarship does not Provide

No discretionally extension will be allowed after one year study period.
Cost of failed courses/modules (Study rights and responsibilities, which include failure/repeat modalities will be complied with the guidelines and regulations of KOREATECH).

📄 Required Application Documents

Application letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of Rwanda Polytechnic (indicating the program).
Personal statement (including a. the motivation of the applicant for choosing this program; b. professional expectations from the knowledge and skills of this program) (Max 300 words).
Copy of National ID or Valid passport.
Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Recommendation letter from the principal of the hosting RP-college.
Certified copies of academic documents: Transcripts and Bachelor’s Degree. (Foreign degrees: equivalence from a competent organ in Rwanda).
A brief concept note of the applied research to be conducted during MSc studies (detailed structure below).

📌 Concept note must include:
▪ Project Title (not more than 20 words)
▪ Research area and Discipline
▪ Project Summary (max 500 words): overall description of anticipated research, problems to address, alignment with RP research agenda.
▪ Project Problem and Outputs (300 words): background of research problem(s) + expected outputs.
▪ Methodology/Research design (max 500 words): methodology and research approach from previous studies.

⚖️ Selection Process

Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria and completeness of application documents.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a panel appointed by RP management.
Only candidates nominated by Rwanda Polytechnic will be recommended to continue with the application process for studies at KOREATECH.

📊 Prospective schedule

After completion of selection process, visa application, departure schedule and requirements for admission will be announced to the selectees according to the admission process of KOREATECH.
